The Forest Tower - Camp Adventure
The iconic, hourglass-shaped Forest Tower rises 45 meters above the woodland floor, with a viewing platform perched at 135 meters above sea level – the highest accessible point in all of Zealand. From the top, the landscape unfolds in a breathtaking panoramic view stretching over 25 km across South Zealand. On a clear day, you can spot the Øresund Bridge, the striking Turning Torso in Malmö, and parts of Copenhagen's skyline.
The ascent through the tower's 12 spiraling circles is an experience unlike any other. As you make your way up, you move through different forest layers, seeing nature from entirely new perspectives. Midway in the narrowing of the tower, you can reach out and touch the three magnificent beech trees preserved at the tower's core. As you reach the summit, you break free from the canopy of the forest, feeling the wind on your face as you take in the sweeping 360-degree view of lush forests, rolling fields, and charming towns dotting the South Zealand landscape.
The journey to the Forest Tower begins with a scenic walk along a 900-meter-long boardwalk weaving through the woods. Along the way, you can observe Camp Adventure's climbing park up close while immersing yourself in the tranquility of nature. Several lookout points invite you to pause and soak in the serene surroundings.
More than just a nature experience, the Forest Tower is a masterpiece of architecture. Designed by the award-winning EFFEKT Architects, it received international recognition even before opening. The structure is crafted from maintenance-free Corten steel and locally sourced South Zealand oak from Bregentved Gods and Gisselfeld Kloster – a perfect blend of modern innovation and natural beauty.
