Dragør Old Town

Dragør Old Town is one of the best-preserved towns in Denmark. Many of the low houses were built between the 18th and 19th centuries, and the small winding alleys hide many quirky details from that time.

Visit Dragør Old Town and step into a time warp. The old town has 76 listed properties, the largest concentration of listed properties in a small town in Denmark.

Stroll through the narrow streets and take a shortcut down one of the wheelbarrow paths. Perhaps you’ll spot the well-preserved peekaboo castles and gazebos. Or say hello to the town’s four-legged residents through the lovely dog holes and old goose trapdoors.

The history is evident in Dragør Old Town, and it’s clear how the local harbour environment has significantly impacted the town’s design and development.
