Bellevue Teater
As one of the finest examples of Bauhaus architecture in Danish history, Bellevue Theater still stands proudly on Strandvejen in Klampenborg. Visit the theater and come inside for music and theater experiences - there's something for every age.
Bellevue Theatre is elegantly located at the southeast corner of Dyrehaven with a beautiful view of the Sound. It was designed by Arne Jacobsen and opened in 1936. Today, the theatre opens its doors all year round and offers modern productions with musical content and contemporary Danish drama and satire shows. The theatre almost exclusively stages its own productions and aims to provide experiences for all ages. The beautiful theatre hall has room for 740 guests.
The functionalist-style theatre is considered one of Arne Jacobsen’s absolute masterpieces and has been a listed building since 1988. In fact, most of the area was designed by Arne Jacobsen - including the Bellavista housing development adjacent to the Bellevue Theatre to the south.
When visiting Bellevue Theatre, you can combine your theatre ticket with a delicious dinner - provided by the nearby Den Gule Cottage.
