Do Copenhagen in 24 hours
Are you only spending one day in Copenhagen? The city has lots to offer and we have selected some of our favourite places you can explore in 24 hours.
Start the day with breakfast at Torvehallerne. At that time, there are not many people but it is nice to sit by the windows or outside in quiet surroundings while sleepy Copenhagen wakes up. You can enjoy a cup of coffee from Coffee Collective, delicious bread fresh baked on the spot or porridge like you have never tried it before, at GRØD.
If you want to go shopping, you can walk from Torvehallerne to Strøget and even better, the area around nearby Pilestræde and make sure not to miss the small charming side streets. After being in a world of fashion, you should walk down to the canal just off the square Amagertorv to hop on a sightseeing boat and experience the beauty of the city and most of the top sights from the water.
Maybe it is time for lunch? If you're already in the center of the city, you're fortunate enough to be surrounded by great lunch options in different categories. From smørrebrød to restaurants, juicy burgers and cool cafés.
TRAVEL TIP: If you only have one day in Copenhagen, a 24-hour Copenhagen Card would be the ideal way to get the most out of it. With a Copenhagen Card in hand you get free admission to more than 80 attractions and museums and unlimited transportation.
